Screws (Machine Screws)
Small screw is defined by JIS (Japanese Industrial standards) as having a nominal diameter of 8 mm or less. There are various types of head shapes for small screw, allowing for selection based on specific needs. Additionally, there is almost no resistance until it is seated during fastening, which enables obtaining high axial force. However, unlike tapping screw, it has the drawback of being prone to loosening due to no torque resistance on the screw part. For this reason, it is sometimes used after applying a loosening prevention treatment to the screw part.
